ENGINEER DORIS OMBARA MANIFESTO: PART THREE

Engineer Doris Ombara has already developed plans for The Office of Woman Representative to:

Address the needs of our children living on the street by finding more sustainable solutions to get them off the street for good

Improve funding and conditions of juvenile children’s homes to ensure that children rehabilitate instead of learning more undesirable behaviours

Provide services for children with mental health, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities so that parents can better care for their children without shame or strain on finances

Transform prisons to corrective centers through visitations to prisoners and improvement of general conditions

Bringing industries to Kisumu that will mobilize youth, women and men to earn a stable living, This includes supporting flowers, textiles & cotton manufacturing, hospital industry manufacturing, meat processing, specialty wholesale markets, green banks and more. This will move Kisumu county from peasant farming to an agriculture production and export economy.

Establish 1 hot meal, 3 times a week service in each sub-county to help those facing food insecurity including the elderly, sick and widows with children

Establish a County Women’s Convention that fosters dialogue with women across counties and helping to guide on the ground activities of The Office of Woman Representative
